I've heard the VRE-1c at my local audio club(PNWAS). Hard to isolate it's sound as it was not the only change to the system but the overall sound was great. It didn't seem to be adding a sound of it's own. One of the best sounding meetings we have had. I don't care for it's looks but the sound makes up for it.

Phillipwu ~ The VRE had a more open and extended top end and had MUCH better bass control, the Kondo puts an emphisis on the upper bass region. While the Kondo was extremely transparent the VRE did fall just slightly behind the VRE but just slightly while all in all the VRE was more linear and above all was the more musical sounding pre! The Kondo M1000 was just too euphonic which can be a good thing but once I heard the VRE I listened more and now could forget about equipment. Finally the VRE is very clean sounding and you hear all the detail, something the Kondo feel short in. Remeber the M1000 retails at $95,000 and the VRE below $17,000. I owned 2 different versions of the M1000 the original and MKII but felt the VRE was more precise!

기존 VRE1-C모델의 호화판 업그레이드가 단행되면서 가격이 3천불이 인상되었습니다 그래서 소비자가 2800만원이 되었습니다. 인상에 비해서는 상당히 많은 부분이 개선이 된 것 처럼 보입니다.

아래와 같은 업그레이드가 새모델에는 포함이 됩니다.
이미 알려진 것도 있어서 번역한 부분들이 알려진것에서 추가로 진행된 업그레이드 같습니다.

오랜 기다림 끝에 드디어 Signature 모델이 발표 되었습니다. 그리고
제작자인 스티브의 메일에 의하면 기존의 프리가 최상의 음질을 보여주었지만 그동안의 많은 연구끝에 더욱 좋은 no cost objective 재료들을 찾아내었고 그런 부품들을 채용하기 위해서는 새로운 가격을 가진 Signature 버젼의 탄생이 불가피 했다고합니다. 위에 언급한 upgrade 는 기본으로 포함이 되고 아래와 같은 변경이 signature 버젼에는 적용되어 있습니다. Signature 버젼의 가격은 6000만원 입니다. 현재 시판되는 제품은 순은선 트랜스포머가 사용된 유일한 프리앰프가 아닐까 합니다. 이런 파격적인 가격의 부품을 양산 제품이 사용하겠다고 생각한 발상이 특이합니다.

$175,000 (약2억원) 상당의 Ternner and Friedl의 flagship인 duke의 축소판이라고 합니다. Duke와 같은 컴프레션 드라이버 + 자체제작 파피루스 종이를 이용한 중역 (파피루스 나무가 grain이 길어서 음질에 유리하다고 합니다.) + 15인치 우퍼 한발을 한개의 인클로우져 안에 집어 넣어서 사실상 duke에서 우퍼만 1개 빠진 조합이에요 (duke는 2개의 12inch 우퍼사용). 크기도 좀 큰편이고요. 그동안 나온다는 말만 무성하다가 이번에 2013년 6월에 최초로 세상에 공개가 되었습니다. 미국딜러랑 이야기 했는데 자기들도 받은지 몇일 안됬다고 하더군요. 마감은 다른 TNF처럼 최고의 마감을 자랑하고 음질은 의외로 거함급임에도 매우 차분한 소리를 들려줍니다. 저도 신제품이 나온다해서 집접 가서 들어도 보고 촬영도 했는데 동영상을 곧 올리도록 하겠습니다.

참고로 사진속의 다리는 나무로 된게 나오는데 미국 딜러가 임의도 바꿨다네요. ISIS의 가격은 USD $40000 입니다.

The big news at Profundo, however, is the introduction of the latest speaker from Trenner & Friedl, the Isis. The Isis is cut from the same cloth as the Pharaoh and the RA Box--wide, shallow cabinets and efficient designs--but the Isis is a 3-way design with a 15-inch woofer. It offered a sonic presentation that seemed without boundaries, effortless and thoroughly engaging. It reminded me of Trenner & Friedl's flagship, the Duke, which I heard at the 2011 CES. That's saying a lot, because the Isis costs less than one-fourth the amount of the $175,000 Duke. More than one person in the room commented that the Isis gives you a big hunk of the Duke's sound in a much smaller footprint. But as you can see from the photos, the Isis is still an imposing loudspeaker.
